What Are Lash Extensions?
Lash extensions are single stranded or multi-stranded hair-like fibers (Whether it’s mink, silk, or vegan man-made fibers) that are placed on a single natural lash. Not to be confused with individuals or clusters that are placed on the skin. Lash extensions are designed to give a client either curler, longer, fuller, darker, fluffy, or all of the above lash look. The great thing about lash extensions is that they are 100% customizable, meaning you can create just about any desired look with them versus other lash options which are pre-made.
What Is The Difference Between The Lash Sets?
Classic Set: Single-stranded lash extensions are placed on every individual natural lash.
Takes about 75 mins - 120 mins to achieve depending on the lash artist.
Allows the client to achieve curler-looking lashes, and length. No volume is added.
A very natural look, bystanders will not know you have anything on.
Fill ins usually needed every 2-3 weeks
Hybrid Set: Single-stranded and multi-stranded lash extensions are placed on every individual natural lash.
Takes about 75 mins - 120 mins to achieve depending on the lash artist.
Allows the client to achieve curler-looking lashes, length, and very little volume.
With this look you will be able to tell something is on your lashes but a very settle.
Fill ins usually needed every 2-3 weeks
Light Volume Set: Multi-stranded lash extensions are placed on every 4-5 individual natural lash to give the appearance of a hybrid set but less time to achieve by the lash artist and not as full as a volume set for the client.
Takes about 60 mins - 90 mins to achieve depending on the lash artist.
Allows the client to achieve curler-looking lashes, length, and very little volume.
With this look you will be able to tell something is on your lashes but a very settle.
Fill ins usually needed every 2 weeks
***Choose a Hybrid Set for longer lasting results.
Volume Set: Multi-stranded lash extensions are placed on every individual natural lash.
Takes about 90 mins - 150 mins to achieve depending on the lash artist.
Allows the client to achieve curler-looking lashes, length, and volume.
This gives the client a bold look, similar to a strip lash.
Fill ins usually needed every 3-4 weeks
Mega Volume Set: Wide Multi-stranded lash extensions are placed on every individual natural.
Takes about 120 mins - 180 mins to achieve depending on the lash artist.
Allows the client to achieve curler-looking lashes, length, and lots of volume.
This gives the client a very bold look and leaves the appearance of no spaces along the lash line achieving a dark eye.
Fill ins usually needed every 3-4 weeks
How Does My Lash Artist Customize My Set?
Before you get started your Lash Artist will ask you what you would like to get, so please be prepared to:
Choose your set
Choose your curl and style/look (bring pictures)
Choose your length
Choose any additional add ons like; color, decals, or bottom lashes
How Do I Prepare For My Visit?
Before you come to your visit it is important that you:
Come with a fresh face and no products on or around the eye area
No caffeine before your appointment to prevent jitters
Wear comfortable clothing
Try to not wear your hair in a bun or ponytail that sits to the back of your head
Remove contacts if you wear “dailys”
If you have sensitive eyes please book a in-office consultation so we can do a patch test
Bring pictures of lash styles you may have seen on the internet, pinterest, social media, or previous lash styles on you to give your lash artist an idea if what you like
What Are The Risk?
Common risk from lash extensions can include very mild burning, watery eyes, or itching. In more severe cases but very uncommon, some clients may get an allergic reaction. This allergic reaction can lead to swelling, itching, redness, and more.
How Do I Keep Up With My Lash Extensions?
During the initial 24-48 hours after your appointment:
Do not get your lashes wet for 24 hours after the lash extensions are applied. It will affect the efficacy of the glue.
Avoid steam from showers, facials, saunas and swimming pools.
Avoid getting moisture around the eye area when washing face, showering etc.
Avoid tanning beds for 48 hours after application.
Avoid chemical peels, waxing or laser treatments around the eyes.
